Eh. It’s true without the part about god. We should be good to each other without a god or religion telling us to. Tying the article to the Christian god only serves to invalidate it a bit in the eyes of those who don’t believe in it - the majority of the world.
In a nutshell, “We should do this because our religion tells us to”
Implies that it only applies to the religious.
