This seems like a good idea.

It is a good idea. I’ve never been in one, so I can’t speak to the fit & finish, materials quality, etc but the engine is obviously a plus. However, why did it get a brand new engine? Even the Ford- and Chevy-based engines of that era were pretty bulletproof in marine applications.

That said. $13,500 for a decent open bow boat with a trailer, a tower, ballast, and a good engine is a nice price.

No idea if the price is right but nice boat.

Seems suspicious that it has a new motor though - these things usually see less use than anyone plans for.

Just going to say this, as a boat owner, a boat is never a good idea.

The best boat to have is a friends boat.

The best boat is one that belongs to someone else. Don’t get me wrong; they’re great, but the purchase price of a boat is only the down payment on the ownership experience.

The best two days of owning a boat are the day you buy it and the day you sell it.

I don’t know anything about that particular boat, but I would stay clear of anything that isn’t a Ford or GM based inboard.  There is a ton of support for those engines, but I suspect it would be a nightmare trying to source parts for a Lexus marine engine.

Fumy enough the Lexus Marine engine is actually a 1UZ. These boats used to be serviced at Lexus Dealers.
