Contractor found it amusing, t hey’re used to seeing the TA.

Left a traffic light d ouble left turn lane onto the highway on-ramp trying to get around a Chevy Equinox. Underestimated how dirty and damp my bald RE71Rs were and did a pretty sweet drift all the way around and past them. That Equinox got a hell of a show.

The annual tradition of l osing traction on cold wet tires for the first time.  Always a bit unexpected.

That happened to me once in the Forester, increasing radius on ramp, carried too much speed in and the start of the ramp was wet - trail brake 4 wheel drift, got right on the gas and rode it out with a 4 wheel power- on drift for a good 50 feet . It was pure instinct at first but after I realized I had it, I kept in it. Felt equal parts embarrassed , scared and freaking amazing.

Not the first time, I had to bail off the highway after an AutoX a while back because it was raining and it was getting scary. J ust a bit unexpected this morning.

Losing traction in the wet on worn tires? what a thing that has totally never happened to me before and if anybody says otherwise they are lying

Actually, my unintentional dorifto in question was on the interstate. At 70+. In Atlanta. In a diesel ‘87 Benz. The f riend with me just about had a SOME POO’S COME OUT moment.

As soon as the rear started to slide, I just committed to the drift. It was fun.

A couple weeks ago , I took a protected right turn at a decent clip and gave the truck a decent amount of throttle #because145hp and the rear end started to slide out on me. After some giggling and grinning, I remembered I do have a bunch of torque and no weight over the driven wheels, and it had been raining.

that gif is awesome

(and yep, had my wrx step out around a traffic circle in the wet a while ago - completely my fault, too fast, got completely off the throttle too quick and the road was greasy enough to let it slide out just enough to get that back and forth wiggle... wife was not amused...)
