Nah... the real reason the Acura brand isn’t taken as seriously is because cars like the NSX are Acuras in North America, but have the Honda brand name everywhere else.

It’s a complete lack of brand/model integrity.

And having cheap, thinly restyled Civics and giving them crappy names like the EL, CSX and ILX isn’t helping much either especially given that the most powerful version is sold under the Honda name, not Acura .

The new RDX commercial that starts out with an OG NSX and ITR made me cry a little inside. The geriatric-sounding Rolling Stones cover band doesn’t help either.
