Very nostalgic going into a F amily V ideo store to rent Jurassic Park . On the way I explained the PG of PG-13. Explaining that only parents are allowed to decide if their kids under 13 should be able to watch the movie. Annabelle didn’t want to wait 5 more years, so she is going to be scared.

Her least favorite movie so far is All Dogs Go To Heaven. When it’s late on the weekend and the kids want to stay up, I let them watch the movies I pick. They weren’t too fond of Ol’ Yeller either. The follow up Savage Sam was pretty bad. So much going on that was over their heads. And SO politically incorrect.

They did enjoy Toby Tyler and the original Benji.

I grabbed the flier, but there didn’t seem to Be a gluten free crust option. So, new favorite of my wife is Lion’s Choice. They supply a Gluten free bun for only 50¢ more.

I think I’ve only ever had Lion’s Choice once. Marco’s has actually become a bit of a go-to when I’m in town though. We’ll get a pizza, rent a movie, and watch it on our “redneck big screen” in the basement (old office projector and a white bed sheet).

Yeah, that’s b een am awesome option for grabbing quick food for my wife too. We do have a few pizza places that offer gluten free by us.

You and everyone else about 5 years ago...

I did enjoy getting both services for $8/mo, though. Nice while it lasted, but the streaming catalog was crap back then.

I did that a few years ago. It was expensive and the choice was poor. Getting back to return the thing to avoid a fee was a pain in the ass.

I’ll never do it again. Good riddance

This was kind of a bad experience too. Blue ray skipped around and missed key parts of the movie.

Ugh nooooo. Seems to me that physical borrowing was a bad system, which we depended on until something better came along.

And that something better is Internetty streamy what-have-you.

I agree that it was at the time “the best with what was available” although we get some games and movies from the local library for free. So, I’m kind of a cheapskate.

I don’t think it was actually available to stream from amazon, or Netflix. It was worth the $1.08 though. (Damnit I need to return it before Friday)

The raptor kitchen scene was pretty intense for the kids. It was great.

Legit. That scene gave me nightmares for like a year.

man I keep trying to watch this with my 7 year old - she’s on board - but my wife says no dice.  You want to talk nostalgic, we’ll be watching it on laser disc on a plasma screen

The blue ray dvd we rented was defective and skipped over a few important scenes. Not whole scenes, but all together 5-7 minuets of the movie.
