This is much nicer than the Si.
Complaints so far: Fucking stop start needs to stay off and i hope there’s a way to do that instead of hitting the button everytime i start the car.
Full review after I empty this tank of gas

What do you mean, does it shut off when in park or something?

I haaaaaaaaated the stop-start on the TLX loaner I had. Thankfully the TL doesn’t have it. However, the TLX is much more fuel efficient.

Ohhhhhh you mean it re-enables itself after every time you get back in the car, so you have to disable it each time. That sounds a little a nnoying . There must be some way to avoid that...

I found the TLX to be a nice upgrade over my old TSX. It put the idea in my head to trade it in, but I liked the TL better (and it was more affordable). But the TLX is still a solid all-around car and I think you’ll like it. And remember what I said in the last post ;)

A transmission controlled by buttons seems so cool. Like, you push the button to Park. It’s so simple, but so futuristic. I hope you like the car!

Ah right.
I’m so unfamiliar with car technology from the past... dozen or so years that it’s kinda funny

I had a rental Mercedes with stop start, you had to disable it every time you turned it on. It was infuriating . Still better than the Chevy Malibu I had as a rental where you couldn’t turn it off. That was extremely irritating in ATL traffic. My M3, hilariously, has stop start, but once you turn it off, it doesn’t turn itself back on even after you restart the car.

I kind of like the stop/start in the F150... then again, I am in traffic so in frequently that when it does it’s thing it’s a bit of a novelty. There’s a menu item that lets you fully disable it, and it’s always disabled if the trans is in Sport or Tow mode, It’ll only ever kick in when in Eco or Normal and the temps/conditions are right for it to not impact driving. It seems to be very good at choosing it’s moments, actually.

curious to see how you like this car. I traded in my FA5 on a 2012 TSX Sport Wagon and loved the more luxurious interior and driving experience, however I missed my Si tremendously. So much in fact I just picked up a 1 owner FG2 Si coupe to park next to it in the garage.
