Okay, fine...

Kinja'd!!!

It’s the CF Moto Fashion 250!

The fellow Gambler drove a hard bargain and sliced his price in half after hearing that I was going for shop-teacher’s Helix.

Agh, as much as I wanted that brilliant red scoot the guy knows my kryptonite: Profit.

The Gambler Chuckus is getting massive attention on Facebook with even a couple offers more than the ask. All in all, I’d actually make about $300.

So....... I bought it.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

This thing is extremely well built. Two boots, both lined and sealed, thick molded in colour panels, and steering that is light without feeling wobbly like most Chinese scooters. It’s also deceptively light. It weighs about as much as my Rebel did, however when you’re sitting on it you don’t feel the weight.

It’s about as long as my Goldwing, too.

Kinja'd!!!

It’s going to need a new battery and a new carb, however it’ll be an easy project and fun winter ride. It even has new rubber.

For those keeping score, in less than 6 months I’ve purchased 8 motorcycles and so far sold 3 of them. I hope to have the Chuckus gone in less than a week. While I subscribe to the N+1 rule I cannot comfortably own more than four bikes, especially if three of them are older than I am.

I want to get back into bike flipping, but woth school taking time and working at a dealer put me in a kinda weird place legaly in canada.

as a single person, i cant sell more then 5 vehciles a year in my name. so a lot of ‘flippers’ just dont register it and save on rego costs (32$ + tax on price you claim you paid...lots of $ 100 R6s floating aorund here)

so sell more, you need your OMVIC permit which i DO have...but I also need to be a dealer, which i just work at one. and if i claim THAT as my dealer, then i run into issues with ‘who gets what tax” and “why is peter running a side business under our name” and Id really rather not.

Neat. Not as quick as a Helix, but I hear it’s a close enough clone that parts will swap between the two. That being the case, these things handle shockingly well for what they are and they’re the most joyfully simple things in the universe to ride. Right foot brakes, right hand makes it go. World’s most comfortable seat for yo ass and next to no wind whatsoever.

Same problem here in Illinois. If I sell 5 or more vehicles under my name I have to get a dealer license. That requires establishing a place of business, taking a class, and paying fees up the wazoo. Thus far only one of the bikes I sold was in my name, so I'm good for now. lol

I'm also really digging the digital speedometer. After having owned three Chinese clones now, this one has to be the best yet. IIRC the only reason that's the case is because the Helix is as old as dirt and Honda let trademarks/patents expire as they moved to newer designs.
