E ven though I’ll be crucified I’ll admit that Miata’s do nothing for me. I’m too big, they are too small, they aren’t good looking, and my C30 wou ld eat their lunch. I don’t care for convertibles either.

With any luck, the C30 will be sold this weekend and I will be back to something more reasonable. I don’t need the Nissan either, but I paid $250 bucks for it and it runs and passes inspection so there’s no real reason to sell it.

i get that, they are slow as butt. and I’m 210 and 6'2" so i might have to find out that i’m too big for them as well. I hope not. I’m also considering a Cappuccino once the prices go down I’m 99% sure I wont fit in one.

I’f i cant fit in either i’ll get a C4 Corvette, that may the be answer.

I’m 6'4 and 240ish. I can’t fit. Which is fine because I don’t have any interest. I am sure it’s because I haven’t driven one, etc, but I honestly don’t see the appeal. Slow, u nattractive and with no real power is not my preferred “sports” car.

With any luck it will be sold on Sunday. I just paid it off the other day so the guy who wants it is going to give me a deposit until the title comes in the mail and then I am driving it the 3 hours to where he lives. One last blast down the highway. It’s been a great car that has had zero problems in the 2.5 years I owned it other than a leaking radiator hose that had 136,000 miles on it.

I thought I’d keep it, but it’s just not big enough for what I need. I am in full suburban dad mode. 43 years old, 8 year old son, grey hair and just starting to grow up. I’m fully embracing it.

Plus the V60 is nice as shit.

Haha fair enough. Would have been nice if Volvo had brought the V40 to the states, but alas. I’ve had my C30 for 6 years now and I’m having a hard time thinking of what I’d replace it with. Hard to find something in that price range with a better power to weight ratio and a manual transmission.

I’ve got five.

Two are street legal; i.e. Registered and insured. (As an aside, t he other three require out-of-province inspections before I can register them... moving was dumb)

Four of them run . (The other has a disassembled broken engine)

Hypothetically all of them can be driven... At least they all drove themselves to where they parked, admittedly one under electrical power.

Four of them are in need of not-in significant rust repairs.

One of them is a parts vehicle that will never be repaired.

It’s a great car. And mine was built pretty well to about 315hp and 375 lb/ft. Handles great, fast, fun. Just too small, unfortunately. Did I mention how nice the V60 is? It’s pretty nice. And the leather is brown. And the seats are like two gentle hands hugging your butt.
