I like to clean cars, not sure If I’ve ever told anyone that an d also like whiskey.
Well I recommend car cleaning products online and whiskeys/ies to customers at work.
So I buy small bottles, etc... to make samples for people so rather than me recommend a product and they spend the money and not like it, I bottle some up, give it to them to try and if they like it, they go and buy some, if they don’t like it, they haven’t lost anything from it and they’ve tried something different to what they might of gone for.
This in mind I bought some more glass bottles (5x 50ml size and 5x 30ml size).
The box they sent was ridiculous.
Now, I’ve taken out two 50ml bottles and filled them with whiskey for a customer at work to try but still, come on.
It was full of ‘airbags’ to protect the glass bottles but really.
Without the airbags I could get 108 50ml bottles along the bottom and 126 30ml bottles on top of them, even allowing for a 20% reduction for protective packaging, that’ s still 86 50ml bottles and 100 30ml bottles you could get in there for ten bottles total.
Ridiculous.

Thats crazy. we get totes with one or two small items in the inventory delivery for my store some times, but thats because the delivery company only uses one size of plastic tote. And usually its something like a single bottle of brake fluid which cant be shipped with food, for obvious reasons. I really doubt the company you bought these from only uses one size of cardboard box.

I laughed so hard at this. The fact that you were upset enough to calculate how many could've fit made me laugh even harder.

The company makes plastic, glass and aluminium bottles and containers from 8ml lip gloss pens to 1,000litre containers.
30ml apothecary bottles
to one tonne sacks
I’ve ordered 100ml, 200ml and 500ml bottles for car products to send around the world that have arrived in boxes just a quarter of the size to this one.

some one on the packaging line must have just been half assing it that day, and grabbed the closest box to them, when the right one was father away. thats the only viable explanation I can think of .

I’m bored. So I measured it out using the bottles. Lol.

I received a pair of shorts from Germany or Austria* the other day. The box was only marginally smaller than this one, for a pair of ruddy shorts, they even put in a medium size paper and cardboard catalogue which was about a 1cm thick. Baring in mind I ordered them online from their website paid over the internet with my paypal account, why the hell would they think I needed a paper catalogue? Just a massive waste of resources.
*In my defence the store I ordered from was down in Farnborough, England and wasn’t expecting them to come from central Europe.

I had lunch today with a friend’s son who is over from Germany.
He’s into politics and getting into banking and financing sector over there. By all accounts the German efficiency thing is very much a myth these days.
We spent three hours talking about politics, refugees, banking, travel, etc... He’s grown so much since I saw him four years ago.

Irony being they make bottles and containers and have to order in cardboard boxes and didn’t.
Still. I did only order the bottles on Wednesday when they had stated 3-5 working days.
