Kinja'd!!!

May your frogs respect you in the morning...

Regardless , Huntsman spiders clearly don’t eat them...

So, I always wanted to visit Australia. But I think I want to do it inside of an armored car or something. Not sure I’d be okay (alright, no way in hell) with a Huntsman just hanging around.

Relax, not all the flora and fauna are deadly.

Some of the sheep are harmless.

I presume both frogs and spider are lethal?

There is actaully 3 frogs. I didn’t notice that spider at first though.

I think very few spiders will eat a frog. Only one I can think of is the fishing spider.

They don’t attack for no reason. That one would likely only bite if you were to try to grab it.

A mother with an egg sac would be more aggressive though.

Even then, a huntsman bite doesn't require a visit to the hospital. Just hurts and swells a little.

Are those “Peron’s Tree Frogs”?  Frogs are my favorite animal.

if you reach out gently they crawl and nestle into your palm where it’s warm :)

This is more nature than you should have indoors.

Doesn’t matter.

They’re still Australian.

Yup. You can actually handle a huntsman. They’re fast, but not aggressive.

We believe so...they are also known as the Maniacal Cackle Frog. And given their croak, this name is appropriate.

These are not our only indoor wildlife. We also appear to have a couple of bush rats, two different species of gecko and what is quite likely a carpet python (only heard but not seen so far).

Only if you tread on one and slip and break your neck OR sit down on the d unny (half asleep, middle of te night) and either or both take a run up your leg and/or arse cheek...at which point you have a heart attack.
