So good. I sat in one once (I would say "test drove" but it wouldn't start) and it was like slipping into a kayak. Comfortable once you're in, but initially I was sure 6' 1" me wasn't going to fit.

It’s amazing how small British roadsters were and midget was smaller. The first time I got up close and personal with a Spitfire I couldn’t believe how incredibly low t was

I had a 79 Midget back in high school. At 6'1" I fit in just fine - there is more leg room than you’d think there would be, largely because you basically lay down in it . But I was young and a light lighter than I am now. :) I loved that car and the part of me that denies I’m old would love to have another. R ealistically I probably wouldn’t fit that well anymore.

It was a blast to drive on curvy back roads. Definitely gutless but it didn’t matter. Even with a brand new roof, don’t plan on staying dry if it rains hard. I remember coming out of school one day to find 1.5" of water in the floor board because it had rained really hard and the roof just didn’t seal well. I didn’t care. Pop the floor drains to empty it, spend some time with the shop vac, and go on with your life.

I miss that car.

My dad had one of these new back in the 70s and said it’s the worst car he’s ever owned lmao. He bought this while a friend of his bought a 240Z and he wished he got one of those instead.
