Somehow, there are 3 Volvo 850 T5-Rs for sale in Australia right now.
Two of them are yellow.

Damn those seats look comfy.

I’ve been holding out for a 330Ci but I’ve loved these stupid Swedish bricks since I was a kid.

But I know that absolutely no one would notice what it was, or care, and that’s depressing as hell.

There are bound to be loads in the U.K. the T4 and T5 were popular and well loved police cars here.

The other thing putting me off is ruining whatever value is still left in them by doing repairs myself.

How was reliability?

According to one of the listings:

They were brought to Australia in very limited numbers, a total of 28 came into Australia in the signature cream yellow (14 in black and 1 Green and only 66 manual rhd yellow cars made globally).

Their owners have suddenly realised that the local parts inventory consists of three plastic gubbins and a metal thing. The cheapest of these is $120. And it’s on the other side of the country. Plus the nearest Volvo specialist mechanic is on the other side of the city or a third of the continent away...

What value? They’re at the bottom of the barrel.

I only had it for maybe 6 months. Only needed to replace some vacuum hoses and odometer gears. I think the PCV system might have crapped out a couple months after I sold it. But everything on these is well known and covered on the internet.
