Also when the headlights on thuan Bravada nose light up they look like Oldsmobile symbols. With the dark parks of the badge being the light and the lines on be badge darker.

I didn’t realize this rebadge was a thing! Cool.

Didn’t it also lower itself at highway speeds?

Bravada was the coolest of the GMC/Chev/Olds trio imo. (Typhoon/Syclone not included)

I always liked the Bravada best of it’s Blazer bretheren (if you exclude the Syclone/Typhoon). I know it’s a pretty straightforward install process, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Bravada front end mounted on a pickup body before.

Fun fact: The third generation Bravada is the only vehicle in the GMT360 line (Trailblazer/Envoy/Isuzu Ascender/Saab 9-7X/Buick Rainier) that was not available with a V8.

It’s wasnt but it’s a common swap especially in the low rider community

There’s actually two Bravada swapped S-10s in my town. The other one is a black crew cab, and it also has an Olds badge on the tailgate, and Olds wheels

My mom had a white Bravada. It was a pretty good vehicle.

There is nothing wrong with that :o)

Me and a buddy actually both had Bravada front end swaps on our trucks a few years back. Granted his was a GMC so his swap was literally just popping out the GMC grill and popping on a Bravada grill. This was the later style 2nd gen Bravada.

Kinja'd!!!

My truck was a little more involved since it was an S-10. I had to swap the Grill, headlights and bumper. Initially I had a Sonoma bumper but eventually picked up an actual Bravada bumper also.

Kinja'd!!!

For what it’s worth later I bought an actual Bravada, swapped the headlights over to Envoy HIDs and lowered it a couple of inches on Camaro wheels.

Kinja'd!!!

It was a pretty nice little truck but it got wildy awful gas mileage. My average mileage in mixed driving was only 14 mpg. Slightly worse than my wife’s z71 Tahoe.

For what it’s worth I actually still have a couple Bravada grills in my attic, because someday I would love to get another little 2nd gen S10 and swap it again.

The front ends on these trucks were actually very interchangeable. I used to have an S-10 and three complete front ends for it, two hoods, and an extra set of Envoy factory HID headlights. I would randomly swap out between S-10, Sonoma and Bravada front ends and occasionally mix and match the Sonoma, Bravada, and Envoy parts.

It was fun, kind of like having large scale Legos

Yeah I was another one of the guys that did this. To be fair I also owned an actual Bravada... I’m not sure if that made it better or worse though.

Yeah back then the Bravada was my Wife’s daily driver and the S-10 was mine. Our friends thought it was nauseating that we had matching cars. Haha

I’m not gonna lie it’s kind of fun and I still try and think of ways to do these weird random swaps. Like currently my wife has a 2004 Tahoe and I’ve considered trying to swap an angry Silverado front end on it just for grins. Surprisingly I’ve only seen it done a couple of times, but to be fair it is a little more difficult as you have to swap everything, fenders, bumper, hood, grill, and lights.... and possibly the radiator core support.

I think it’s kinda cool. I was considering buying a second gen Honda Fit to match my wife’s, but then I remembered I don’t actually want to drive a Fit

Yeah the problem so far has just been finding the parts... and in the right color. Mainly because for some reason trucks are fetching premiums while SUVs can be found for peanuts. Like seriously  Tahoes are selling for roughly half of what similar condition same year Silverados are.

But back when I had the S-10 that made it a lot easier to find SUV parts to stick on a Truck, than it has been to find Truck parts to stick on our SUV.

My wife currently has a ‘04 Tahoe and for a while I thought about picking up a similar vintage Silverado. But then I came to my senses because the idea of commuting in a full size pickup does not appeal to me at all. Besides we are looking to hopefully pick her up something a little newer in the fairly near future.
