Found this at Savers in Duluth. I had no luck with car shopping but I bought an F-40 and a Countach! More updates after we get it set up tonight.
Sad Update: no cars were included in the kit. My question to you all is, are slot cars a standard size? Like can I just go buy some and use them, or do they need to be ones made for this brand of kit? This kit was supposed to come with the Ferrari, and the Countach. And here’s all the other oh so 80’s options.

I keep thinking of picking up one of the Carrera sets at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon. It hasn’t tempted me enough yet, but if my wife keeps dragging me there, it will.

I don’t know if it’s a chain, but HobbyTown USA would definitely have cars for something like that.

As long as it runs on the right voltage/current you should be able to make any slot car work. I imagine they all use a similar if not the exact same method of running. I’d try to find some of the correct ones cheaply first but otherwise those things are relatively simple and should work fine. I recall the slot car track I had always had a ridiculous burning smell. Something tells me that thing was not so safe lol...
Also I somehow want to see that loop and jump actually work. It was tough enough keeping cars on straight track lol.

The one I have has a small jump, but I assume the chances of land it are 1/100

The irony is I was right next to a hobby lobby when I bought this, and now I’m over an hour away

HobbyTown is a different store; they focus on model cars, model trains, all that. They sell parts to build your own off-road RC cars and more; I went in a couple weeks ago for the first time in over 10 years, and I was reminded of how awesome that place is. I checked their website, and they have a couple stores in Minnesota (they have one in Duluth, but it’s Duluth, GA). They also have a website, too!

Oh I see. I found some cars of the same brand on EBay. Well be racing within a week!
