Getting really really angery about how few manuals car are on the road today.

The ONE Manual car in my price range that I was actually interested in sold yesterday. The 2012 Beetle Turbo. I’m out of town, and in Duluth MN, because my son has a doctors appointment early in the morning tomorrow (nothing major don’t worry), so I was hoping to take it for a test drive tomorrow, but today I drove trough the lot, and it was gone. Check the dealer’s website and it’s not there. I’m insanely disappointed.

But the worst part is, I’ve looked around and the only other manual cars I’d consider are another 2 hours away, near Minneapolis. Maybe in a week or two wil be able to get down there and do some shopping.

That’s why I paid about $1000 more than I wanted to for my E92, I just couldn’t find another decent manual E92.

Northern Minnesota is not an area know for being a drivers Mecca. Great place for some farm truck and minivan action.

Yup, everything is 3-4 house from my house. Duluth is the clostest city, only an hour and a half away,but it’s pretty frickin lame.

Yup. My last few searches have been for GTIs and Hyundai Genesis Coupes. Both youth markets, sporty cars. And even then less than 10% of them are manual.

You’re pretty close to Canada, where they might have more manual options :o)

What is your budget? Do you have any other requirements besides a price range and manual transmission?

That’s frustrating. The shortage of manuals in those cars could also be a product of people holding on to those cars and not selling them.

I remember when I was looking for my M3. A manual E90 M3 didn’t last a week on the market. I was getting frustrated. It took me two months to find mine, at a time when I was trying to spend 50k on a car.

It seems like costal Georgia/South Carolina is. Hilton Head BMW always seems to have some random awesome manual BMW.

Gotta agree. Saskatoon car shopping is garbage, Toronto car shopping is way better in terms of options.
