Well, my Senna arrived. Sliiight excess on the part of my benefactor.
Okay, a giant French poster of frenchy frenchness. This was the contents of the tube marked “ramblinrover 2 of 2". So what was 1 of 2, you might be axkin’? Well, I’ll tell you:
Oh, a whole host of leetle Porsches and a racing 240z. Nitty. ButWaitThere’sMore:
A hardcover Cadillac book, vintage airplanes book, and a Far Side book. One which either was currently missing from the ones on my shelf or was present only in collections, so kudos.
The madman did not identify himself, but I have a sneaking, fleeting tiny hint of a near certainty based on address
it was Tfritch.
Self-identified, CaptDale
.
Also arriving via yesterday’s post, things I ordered for myself: call of Cthulhu sourcebook, boondock saints Blu Ray, Savage worlds sourcebook, a copy of Arkham Horror, and (of potential non-nerdy oppo interest), the classic car card game Mille Bornes..

The Subaru box should have tipped off it wasn’t TFritch
Well I am glad I was able to find a Farside you didn’t have. As I mentioned my excuse was you were hard to shop for besides the comic collection. I hope the rest is all of interest to you. I thought I saw you post stuff about planes and who doesn’t want a Cadillac coffee table book?
And as per TFritch, I have to help spread the infection of diecast collecting.
Hope it was worth the little extra time to get.

Ah. Many, many thanks regardless. Certainly well worth it. The Cadillac book, in addition to the usual nods, has a v16 engine porn, a very nice ‘58 DeVille, and some arsenal of democracy stuff, which are both unexpected and very much my jam. The best asset of the airplanes book would be either the Wwi fighters section or the engines/etc. data tables... I am a WWI buff more than most.
I probably need to pose the 240z with my dealer promo galaxie and continental at some point...
Anyway, you’re right that a Scooby box contraindicated The Fritch somewhat, but I couldn’t recall who else was in an auto shop in Cali, a diecaster, paid any sort of attention to any of my foibles, and had a“typing voice” like that in the wish list question form thing...

You are quite welcome. You’ll have to post some of the Cadillac engine porn. I only thumbed through it a tiny bit.
Well the flight book kind of covers that area lol
Yes diecast are required to be posed
What is a “typing voice”?

A “typing voice” would be favored syntax and vocabulary, punctuating style, use of active or passive verbs, and all the other little things that make somebody’s writing style unique. Even when somebody’s not writing formally, a “flavor” can be observed.
Your conversational writing is somewhat similar to his.
