Dear green tea, Why are you such a pain in the ass to brew? if the water’s too hot, you’re burnt, if its too cold, you don’t infuse properly. If I take too long to remove you, you’re burnt, if I take too little time to remove you, you’re basically water.

Why do you do this to me?

That said, have you tried a cold infusion? It takes longer, but you can make a crap ton at once. Just steep a bunch, get nice tea concentrate, heat it on demand.

Give it a try! I do that with coffee, the cold brew, and heat it up. The coffee gives you a concentrate, so I can cut it with hot water to get a hot cup-o-joe. Not sure if it works that way for tea, but you have a kettle, so just warm it in that.

I mean, it probably looks a lot like cold brew coffee, you just leave a bunch of it in a jar in the fridge for a day or so and then capitalize on the results. The good thing about cold brew coffee is that you can brew four or five litres and be comfortable knowing it lasts for a month!

Yeah, I meant that I didn’t know if cold brewing tea like this would result in a tea concentrate that could be made hot by mixing with hot water, and not resulting in a diluted mess.

I have a tea kettle with a thermostat, so when the water is 180 deg. freedom units it beeps and turns off, perfect temp for brewing tea.
