Its a cool design, but why is it two stroke?

more power for the displacement as every stroke is a power stroke.

And also less weight, more compact, and lower center of gravity than the same displacement 4-stroke.
(No valvetrain means none of that weight and bulk up high. It’s the same sort of thing as how pushrod engines are more compact, lighter, and lower center of gravity than OHC engines... but even more extreme because the cylinder head is just a spark plug holder, and there isn’t even a cam in the V.)

I think it’s aircooled too, which brings the weight down further. Good luck to them getting it euro4 compliant.

the translate in google gave me
“...v-twin engine with double counter-rotating electronic injection shaft.. ... Electronically controlled exhaust vavles via servo control.”
wonder if they switch to direct injection similar to ktm’s next bike http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/motorcycles/a27046/ktm-two-stroke-transfer-port-injection-tpi/
Also how much of reduction they could get with playing with the exhaust valve?
