Reports are all over the map so far. What is certain is that the project will begin after CES, the car will be developed under the N Division with Albert Biermann heading the project, it will be a 2-seater or unusable 2+2 style coupe, and it will utilize electric motors and a small displacement engine.
I’m about 90% certain this will be an adaptation of the G70 Coupe that was planned. Genesis, last I heard, is going to build a flagship GT coupe (think Lexus LC rival) so there is no supercar on the way if that gets reported. I’ll keep you all posted, as always. It’s definitely a high-performance sportscar though but the direction hasn’t been signed off on.

Why would Hyundai produce a high performance sports car and not put it under their new Genesis brand?

The brand has moved on from the Genesis Coupe. Reports are that the next generation of that car will be focused on luxury/touring with some edge. This sounds more like a BRZ - which fits with the N image.

Okay, so performance but not luxury. I can see that.

So just like a Honda CR-Z? I can’t wait.

Looks like a Miata-Fiat.
Derivative styling is getting really old.

That is the HND-9 Venace study from 2013, not the actual sportscar. It was a very nice design and still looks pretty fresh for being 5 years old.

Hmmm, maybe the RM16 prototype?

I see Lexus. I’d rather be in a KIA BMW-Audi copy.

Now is as good as time as any to say, I’ve been thinking it might make sense if the Stinger enjoys success to take a smaller more G70 version of the platform and make a coupe counterpart to the stinger.
How about an RM16 N?

There needs to be a Genesis Nemesis. Fuck it, just call it the Nemesis.
