.......somewhat. The passenger side is mounted using the factory rails and some all natural construction product with some high density foam for noise reduction.

They’re stiff, but the good kind of stiff. Only issue I have is that the bottom cushion is too tall for me @ 5'11" so I sit about 1/2" away from the roof lol.

Maybe remove some foam? If taken out of the bottom of the pad it’s visually almost impossible to notice. I had the same problem before eventually swapping seats and getting some super low brackets.

I’m considering buying some of these. How high do the backrests come up on you? These seats always look so teeny in photos I’m worried that they’d just barely reach my shoulders. I’m a short-ass at 5'9" btw

From the top of my shoulders to the top of seat is about a 2-2.5", difference with the cushion in place, without the cushion i sit just a tad lower. It is a oddly proportioned seat tbh.
