I think I’m gonna get a Ranch Hand grille guard and look for a nice bass boat. I’ll wait on my current tires to wear out before getting new rims and tires.

Picture of what that would look like.

Considering how many years I’ve used Kinja, it is still shit.

Right before Kinja, I was actually quite happy with how oppo functioned and they went and kinja’d it.
But on-topic: Why a grille guard?

My former company used to put ranch hand grilles on the company trucks.

I live in a very rural area with lots of deer and I spend a decent amount of time on farms.

Careful with those damage multipliers! They typically cave pretty easily, the headlight guards like to smash up your fenders too.

This is the correct answer, I dislike these attachments when they are unnecessary, haha.

Ranch Hands are usually higher quality than JcWhitney ones, luckily.

You need a hunting licence to claim a deer you hit with a truck where I live.

Ugh.. I don’t understand bass boats. they are basically useless on most water if there’s a bit of a breeze or other boats around making chop.

You going to do any lights beside the stock fogs? On whim I put a light bar set up with two fogs on my Xmas list and got it. I just don’t know where to put the two fogs that won’t take me into “bro” territory.

Yup, I’m gonna throw a lightbar in that gap between the painted part of the bumper and the plastic bit directly under it.
What kinda fogs are they?

That’s where my light bar will go too. They are just two stand alone lights. Like this:
I thought about installing them on the rear bumper to use as aux lights while I’m unpacking the truck when I go camping.

You could get ditch light brackets and throw the main one on the front?
They would look cool as aux lights though, I’ve been thinking of doing something similar.

I’m looking forward to months of careful deliberation, constant updates, frequent indecision, and a sneaky reveal long after everyone has forgotten this post existed in the first place.

Yeah the main bar will sit between the bumper and the grill.
I’ll probably end up mounting the two smaller ones out back.

True, that’ll look good. Have you done anything to it besides getting that stuff?

Still applies, why not a proper ARB? Provides much better protection that tube bars that will wreck the front of the truck..
Why not BajaDesign Squadron Sports in the fog holes?- buy once cry once I say.

More expensive and I don’t like ARB products. Plus I want to retain the stock front fascia as much as possible.

Nothing too crazy. I installed a shorty antenna and some new door speakers. The stock speakers were shot and they would muffle sound when the outside temp got above 75 degrees. New bigger tires are next and while I’d like a bed shell I’ll probably go with a rigid bed cover.

Your truck your rules.
C4 Fab has a nice strong bumper that doesn’t cover everything up.

That looks cool except for the Auburn front plate.
That also offers zero protection to anything besides that small area.

How would that affect the front wheel alignment? Aren’t those bars pretty heavy
