I have friends in town and I was worried about the dog until the skunk came back. Now I hate the dog.

The Humane Society recommends a mix of hydrogen peroxide, dish soap and baking soda.

Not perfect, but should be a lot better. Make sure to avoid eyes.

Why do you want your dog to smell like a skunk? You can probably find skunk scent online if you look.

Had a dog that got skunked regularly. This works. It’s not a miracle cure, it might take a couple baths, but it works better than any other concoction I’ve tried and I’ve tried just about everything. Also, keeping the dog outside until they de-stink helps. Once they get inside that oil gets on carpets/cloths/furniture, it’s harder to get out.

So I’ve heard multiple people at work swear by tomato juice. I’ve never tried it but we have a lot of skunks here so it comes up often. It will make a total mess but if you’re dog will stay in a bath tub it could be a quick solution.

I tried some kind of tomato something but I don’t remember.

Hit up Petco or PetSmart. They’ll have skunk removal products. Good luck!

That tomato stuff is bs.
The peroxide solution was the only one that worked. You have to watch the dog’s eyes though.

Hogwash
, kills the odor of anything it touches. Organic so it’s safe for the pooch. Doesn’t help you today, but in the future keep this stuff handy.

I’ve been told washing with mouthwash works! Just don’t let them drink it!
