What wholly unrealistic car would you buy if you had the money?

For me there are many, but I will choose the TT-RS. It’s a new shiny fast coupe with a quirky motor.

Things that make it unrealistic:

- I can’t afford it
- If I could afford it, I would probably buy something more rational
- The backseat holds 2 people that were supposedly chopped up and stuffed in trash bags
- I still can’t afford it
- Seriously how do people afford things?

What about you?

FD rx7, keep the rotary and replace the turbos/go through the cooling system to turn it into the powerful, reliable car it should be. Because I need another 2-seat Mazda with terrible gas mileage that scrapes over bumps.

Honda beat/az-1/cappuccino because all the reasons above but SMALLER and import issues.

Or... I might actually go with your choice. It’s apparently offered in REAL colors... I spotted this yesterday. The plate reads SLOW

A Juke-R. It will beat 99% of road cars.

1: It will cost high 6 figures up here in Canuckistan.

2: Impossible to find parts.

3: Fully caged, no back seat.

4: Will never afford it.

5: Great looks of the Juke with the problems of the GTR.

I just saw a Ghibli in the way Home. It sounded lovely, and I might get one in blue. But really, I want a Gran Cabrio. Prohibitive gas costs combined with service costs meet the unrealistic requirement

Or maybe a ‘47 Nash with an LS swap (is that even possible?).

I’m with you on the TT RS. There’s a part of me that says “switch jobs for better pay and get a TT RS”. Then I just need how to find a double amputee commute buddy so my roommate and I can take the carpool lane.

An ex-NASCAR road course car and hang 1973 bodywork on it for historic ‘I don’t need no cat or emissions test’ license plate reasons. Of course, the footwork in the mountains alone would probably turn me off to the whole idea.

A Singer 911.

Ordinarily, my problem is wanting too many cars or wanting something different and having to sell what I have to get it, which is how I’ll inevitably end up with three or five cars and nowhere to park most of them. But if money were no object, I’d have a Singer 911.

And a 4Runner or Land Cruiser or Land Rover because I’d still have dogs obviously.

I can say with complete sincerity, I could not be made happier with any vehicle than one I already own. I have what I want and I want what I have, so I’m happier than a puppy with two tails. I appreciate the fuck out of it every time I drive it.

However..... casually picking people up for carpool in a Ferrari F40 would give me that little internal smile I enjoy..... however a Rolls Phantom might give me the same sense of delight.

So one of each of those please.

Its so unreasonable, I don’t event have to tell you why.

Autozam AZ-1 or a first-gen Renault Twingo.

Sure, they aren’t too expensive on their own, but the price of importing one and then having to source parts from overseas, plus making sure it’s in line with regulations, makes it way too expensive for me.

Also, as a 6'-0" man the AZ-1 is far too small for me.
