Because, despite many problems in the world, next year the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo will be for sale. That’s right, 680hp of WAGON is coming, and it’s approaching really fast.
0-60 in a conservative 3.2 seconds, and it’s a WAGON!

I’d never buy one, but I appreciate the madness.

It’s a 6-speed manual away from being peak car which represents a great effort by Porsche. 3.2 seconds to 60 in a wagon is the best madness.
Out of curiosity, what would stop you from buying one if the opportunity presented itself?

Because it’s an absurd amount of money for something I’d realistically never be able to use to its full potential, and that seems wasteful. Give me a V90 CC and a base 911 instead.

I approve of that reasoning. Best to have broader capability and fun with the V90 and 911 respectively.
You *could* take the engine out of the base 911 and put it in the V90 CC, and a manual gearbox too. Still would cost less than the options on the Sport Turismo, and you’d achieve peak Oppo car with something arguably cooler.

I still think CTS-V is peak wagon but this is definitely wonderful too.
And FAST

CTS-V has a manual, but the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo has AWD. And a much longer name.
Personally I’d probably get the CTS-V too.

Can we get the Cadillac with the Porsche interiorplease? I want my leather wrapped in higher quality leather
Ohhhhhh wait or special order a v90 wagon with a manual and no body cladding/lift... There are a lot of good Wagons right now

The best part is that it will never be a classic. These things will be bought (well, leased) and beaten like a rented mule, then sold for pennies on the dollar. Better than someone’s 11 mile GT3RS that sits in a climate-controlled vault, decomposing verrrryyyyyyyyyyyy slowly.

Wellllll all you need is to convince Volvo to go manual again:

I could have sworn reading somewhere that a manual was at least offered in other countries (Sweden?). But now I’m not seeing anything, although apparently some markets at least get a manual option for the new s90 so... maybe? I want to believe

At least it can get out of the way pretty quickly. Question is will the driver put down the phone and pay attention.
