All of the following cars will at least have reinforced frames and upgraded suspensions.
1) A-Body El Camino
With air helper springs and regular shocks. So ride will be better and can still do truck stuff.
Either 250 or 292 I6 or BB V8. Because in the words of Mr. Miyagi. “You walk on right side of road or left, walk in center and squish!” or something like that.
Not sure if I’d want it to be manual or automatic.
2) 2nd gen F-body
With LL8 (Because redneck BMW) and manual trans of course. Weekend/Track car, so heavily upgraded suspension and such.
3) Chevy Vega (or Chevette)
With F20C because I can! (probably can’t though)

What’s the definition of classic car for this thread, 25+ years? Or older?

I approve of this trio - with one alteration: Vega WAGON.

No. I’ve owned a Chevette. It would literally disintegrate if you put an F20C in it.

Cool. I’ll add an additional constraint for mine - three different continents and drivetrain layouts. So, I’ll take the following this time around:
Tatra 87, because it is beautiful, and just leave it completely stock:
1959 Chevrolet El Camino, 283 Ramjet (honestly, don’t care about how much power it has, could be the 250 hp version), Turboglide (I’m guessing this one has neither):
And then, because I actually need something reliable, and want something small and efficient to counterbalance all of this big and luxury, let’s add a third continent that’s really good at small cars, Japan, and a third drivetrain layout.
1988 Honda CRX HF:
So, I can ride in comfort and style, I can haul shit in style and smoothness, and I can get really good mileage while carving through traffic.

What if you imported the engine separately, then installed it there?

uhhh.... ill have too look into that... but i suspect that wont work (crate engines arent really a thing here.. and they really would be if that works)
theres a few palas here already tho imported way back before we had crazy co2 taxes
