I was looking into hand wash car washes in the area because, damn, this a lot of surface area to wash now that it has a cap.
Well I noticed their pricing on full detailing is a bit odd in my opinion.
Why would SUVs and pickups be less than a mini-van? Why is a Suburban in its own category (what about the Expedition/Excursion/Armada/etc or are these “Suburbans”)?

Interior volume I’m guessing?

I wonder if it’s because suburbans and vans have lots of kids in them, therefore more dirt?

I think you’re probably right. I was just thinking about vehicle size...not about interior space

Hey now, that’s vehicular profiling!

Interior and exterior detail, right?
Might be a “kid tax” due to interior problems.
Hey, little Jimmy poured 48oz of Sweet Baby Ray’s onto the carpet! Well, I don’t want to clean it, fuck that. Let’s pay a pro.

Yup. And hitched to our boat we are over 50ft nose to tail
It’s a lot of vehicle

That is a bigly butt.

That was my guess, if they do inside out detailing, then it would make more sense to charge more for Minivans, and large SUVs

I’m going to say the interior. The Mini Vans and Suburbans have a lot of interior space to vacuum and wipe down while the Full Size Vans may need more cleaning of products, product residue, staining, etc...
SUVs are essentially a four or five seat area with the bed being a wash/scrub job.
