Buy one here !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! This is the Indy Drake V8 from back when engines were designed by people and not supercomputers.. Quote From !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
“ I’ve had the privilege to attend a meeting with Herb Porter and Sonny Meyer togethere in herb’s shop at Gasoline Alley. I managed to get the Drake V8 up for discussion and Sonny told me what was the weak part of it: the camdrive was done by belts and this didn’t work. In a do-or-die attempt they even tried to graft the camdrive of the Foyt V8 on the engine in order to make it work at last. But it was all in vain. Why throw money into a project while an alternative was available and reliable too?”

From Book Offenhauser. Neat engine and legacy but I wouldn’t run it very hard....
