But yeah, I couldn’t pass this up. I lasted about 3 months !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It’s a little more expensive than my last one was, but it’s a better year with more performance parts available.
It wasn’t running when I bought it, had it running 10 minutes later (carb was dry due to vacuum operated petcock, primed and it started right up)

The last one I got was $100 and was in a little nicer shape :p
That was also years ago before these little 80's runabouts started taking off in value for some reason. I’m just super excited I finally found an 86, its got the same motor as my old ‘85 but with a throttle controlled oil pump, kickstart, and 4 bolt intake manifold. Parts are easy to find to make these do 50-60mph!

I’ll have to keep that in mind! :)

He might have thrown in the router for free

Dang - nice price. I’d love to find something like that for my 2 mile commute, but even the cheap Chinese crap is usually about four times that amount on the used market. If only I could trade some of my dozens of routers for one...

Yeah, that is why I HAD to jump on it. This is the second cheapest one I’d seen with a title (bought the cheapest one too). I have a script set up to automatically send me push notifications when interesting things pop up on CL, I had this about 30 minutes after it was posted

Going to upgrade the firmware to DDWRT? :D That shit is ROCK SOLID. I’ve run two WRT-54G routers on DDWRT in the last 7-8 years and, other than power outages and changing settings, I may have had to touch them like......10 times, total for issues! Great devices!
I no longer have either of them as I was given newer routers for free and upgraded to later Linksys/Cisco models, but if I had a garage or somewhere I wasn’t doing any major bandwith stuff, one of those would be a perfect fit for it!
Also, screaming deal on that scoot! Really makes me want to get one of my own. As I’ve said before, I’m not a motorbike guy, but I’ve always been drawn to scooters....maybe I should really work on getting my bike license...

Oh it know! We ran these at the radio station in my college, don’t think we had to mess with them ever during my 4 years there. These were actually for a friend, not quite sure what he’s planning to do with it.
As for the scoot, you should look at your local laws, many states do not require a motorcycle license for bikes under 50cc

I’m up here in Nova Scotia, Canada - the laws around here say that even if it’s a bike that is less than 50cc, if it doesn’t have foot pedals (bicycle style) and it isn’t factory speed-limited to 35kph or lower, you need a motorbike license, registration, insurance, etc for it just like a ‘real’ motorcycle. :/

Lol, yup. I loved that little thing. Knew it was only a matter of time before I had one in the garage again.

Oh, down here we lie about the whole speed limit thing, the only thing they can check at the DMV is the engine displacement

I wish scoots were cheaper here...even rougher, smaller displacement used ones are usually like $700-$1000 in my part of Nova Scotia...

They’re usually pretty spendy here too. I’ve been lucky this year with this little guy and my $900 ruckus. I cheat though, got a script set up that sends me a push notification every time “interesting” stuff pops up on craigslist
