Amsterdam-Schiphol is expanding its terminal, and they posted some renders of the expansion today. Looks to be very jet-age, a throwback to 1960s terminals, but obviously on a much bigger scale. It’s not especially adventurous but it does look bright, functional and pleasant. Should be open in 2023. All renders are from Schiphol Airport’s media page.

As all transportation-related architecture should be. This is not a time for an architectural mission statement. But For Sweden nailed it.

MVRDV has really come into its own over the last couple years. I do like the super clean look of KL Air’s winning entry though.

As someone who spent far too much time in the existing Schipol airport last week, this looks a lot better than the old terminal.
