I think the price is reasonable too. I wish I could afford one, I’d be at the dealer tomorrow signing my life away.

I’d get one tomorrow if I had the money, but only in Regal Peacock Green Metallic.
Also, mandatory badge/grille swaps all around, but I’d go for the Vauxhall VXR8 badges.

I could never get one anyway (wooo Canada) so my feelings on it don’t matter.

This is not a hot take. It’s a correct take.
Full disclosure: I like sleepers.

How many more jellys can I get with this picture?

Roughly 2.6 jellys.
I’ve driven an automatic one and I liked it. I’ve yet to drive a manual one, so I can’t make judgements yet.

I’m kinda torn. I love them and it’s easy to say that if I had $50k to spend that I’d run out and buy one. But once you get to $50k there are so many interesting thing you can buy that it would be really hard to choose the SS over something like a 340i.

The dealership I work for has one for sale. Black with a slushbox and sunroof. Tried to get them to order the manual to no avail. I think I convinced them to order a ZL1 1LE the next allocation we get though.

The chevy SS is a more rare car and has 100 more HP than the BMW. I think I would still go chevy.

I guess you couldn’t even import a used one since they are not sold in canada in the first place? Our local dealers sells tons of cars to canadians as “used” cars.

Since it meets US standards, you could probably import one. I’d have to check (not like it matters, I don’t have the $63k CAD it would take to buy/import one).

Isn’t it kind of crazy that GM hasn’t used the NA 6.2L in any other sedan? You can get it in trucks and SUV’s, the Camaro/Corvette, and in supercharged form in the CTS-V. It’s annoying that after the G8 died, we didn’t get another Charger competitor. I mean I love the SS, but it’s almost too nice and too rare. The ATS, CTS and Camaro are sitting on the Alpha platform... why isn’t there an RWD Chevy 4-door version with the same 3 motors available in the Camaro? Probably some stupid marketing crap about how they can’t call it a Malibu or Impala because they turned those into FWD beige mobiles. Hey GM, here’s an idea: re-body the CTS with less crazy sheetmetal and cloth seats, stick a 6.2L V8 in it, sell it for $35-40k, call it the Chevelle and watch Charger sales drop to zero and FCA get sold off to the Chinese overnight.

They got the SS, we got the Orlando.
I know that just makes it seem worse.
