Looked out the window yesterday and noticed one of my mf towels on the ground beside the truck in the driveway. Weird.
Went out and looked and the centre cubby is open- crap.
It’s been a crazy summer, I work in local govt as a gis’er and during this summer with wildfires I’ve been working straight since July 7th. With two kiddos after school pickup and get home is hectic at best. Add to it a stomach bug in our house and me packing in groceries and there is a good chance that I didn’t hit the lock on the way into the house Friday night.
It must have been kids, the only things they ended up taking were my little Nikon travel camera and my Fenix flashlight.. damn, I liked that flashlight.
I guess it’s a good reminder to always lock your stuff up. It’s a drag that it includes in your driveway.

That sucks. We had a rash of thieves, kids probably, come through and steal stuff from garages. People would leave their cars unlocked in the driveways, and the thieves would get the clickers and open the garage and steal little things. We had to remind people to lock their cars. Everyone thinks they’re so much safer here because we have a gate at the entrance. Truth is, it does nothing to make us safer.

I’m sure they were looking for the opener- I’ve got them stashed out of the way though because getting in the garage would be much worse.

Thieves suck, and what really sucks is the slap on the hand they get and back on the street they go. Of course, chances are your thief was probably already on probation.
Enough rant. There are some really good cheap flashlights out there anymore.
This seems to be one. good luck .

Yep, I’m sure it kids walking around checking doors. Lame.
Nice light, I’m a Fenix snob though, probably get a little edc one for the truck, then another LD22 to replace that one..

I’m kind of confused as to why these people aren’t parking their cars in the garage. And if your car doesn’t live in the garage, why keep a garage door opener in the car?

So that’s an interesting phenomenon. Our builder built floor plans with the standard two car garage, and the lots have no room to expand that. Now, in Texas, anywhere these days really but especially in Texas, a two car garage does not hold two cars, because SUV or truck. So, folks use their garages for storage or workbenches, and the cars are outside. They still want a clicker because sometimes one car does park inside. Also, sometimes they want to open from the outside, like when they come home with groceries and bring them in through the garage.

Garage is a pottery studio/ Detail shop / old car restoration spot.. Driveway is where the car and the truck park. Both have openers because it’s nice to go through the garage instead of carrying everything around the house.
