Installed the new ribbon on my new-to-me-but-very-old typewriter today and adjusted the vertical alignment so the tops of letters weren’t getting cut off. It still needs a little tweak here and there, but it’s much better than when I got it.

Typing that was the first I’ve ever seen the capital letter drop below the line. Weird.

After spending an hour typing on that, it’s weird using a keyboard.

It’s a very good, satisfying mechanical noise for sure.

Yas! I have a less-old Underwood, I love it.

I love typewriters but can’t use the old, unpowered ones because I type too fast and lightly for them to work well for me. That’s what I have this beautiful behemoth for.

Nice! I definitely have to slow down and focus a bit more with this typewriter - can’t have any key overlap either, which I’ve discovered I do a lot on a keyboard.
