I’ve never heard a T-bucket called a “sports car” before.

Apparently, neither the author nor the “expert” from Arrive Alive understand much about cars or roads.

“Our roads have become very dangerous...” said the expert. Not according to statistics. Roads in the U.S. (and presumably in New Zealand) are safer than ever.

“Footage has emerged of two men crashing into parked cars after going for a drive in an modified sports car earlier in September 2017.” wrote an unnamed staff writer for wheels24. The car in question was clearly a t-bucket roadster, not a sports car.

It’s hard for an automotive enthusiast to take their writing seriously if they can’t even correctly identify the style of the car(s) involved.

All that being said, it’s too bad that it happened. I hope the old fellas are alright.

The heart-clutching statements from the pseudo-experts in that article are hilarious. Can’t take the nanny state out of that old empire.

Don’t forget the fact that cars modified to the extent of the T-bucket are extremely rare on the street. They’re expensive to build and uncomfortable compared to a camry, so people rarely drive them, and only the truly dedicated actually start and finish building a hot rod.
