My dad found this car at the local farm market. I feel bad because it’s the first car I’ve not been able to indentify for him. Help
*Update*: thanks JeepJeremy for being able to identify this car as an “Excalibur” and thanks to fintail for identifying this as an “Excalibur Series III”

Some sort of kit loosely based on the Mercedes 500K/540K, I would guess.

Excalibur series III, to be exact, from the late 70s. Identifiable by having more faired fenders, but still without roll up windows.

He’s not a fan of Mercedes, and this is a shitty replica of a Mercedes.

It’s not just Mercedes than. Everytime I have a conversation with him it’s about how he doesn’t like something

And I often wonder ... just a straight 4 door sedan, who does it best? Mercedes ain’t bad, but there’s better to be had.

I had a weird fixation on them when I was a kid, I even had a couple toy cars. Neoclassics and kit cars seemed interesting in the 80s.
