Fuel door on the Jetta is push activated pop out, and a neat little holder for the gas cap. Also it won’t start unless you press brake. #wierd #safety3rd

Sounds like it’s gonna be a PITA when it breaks.

-Someone who’s baby sitting their brother’s Hyundai Sonata whom’s fuel door release switch isn’t working.

I think that’s with all VAG cars certainly here in the U.K.

Idk if yours has KESSY or not, but that’s the reason your foot needs to be on the brake for the car to start. If yours has a normal key, they probably just kept the coding consistent across all PCMs.

I think what’s meant is, you push on the door itself, and it pops out.

Oh, and what VW used to do was have a notch in the cap, so it could hang on the fuel door.

That is the way my E90 is, But it locks with the car doors too. My Jetta wagon doesn’t have the holder and it annoys the hell out of me to leave it dangling there getting diesel all down the side of the car.
