I just found one of the cars on my bucket list of sightings, a Subaru Impreza 2.5RS, and managed to take a few photos of it, here they are:

Man, I miss mine. Few bolts ons and serious suspension and tires and it handled better than the 996 Carrera 2 I drove. I beat the shit out of it and it kept asking for more. Needs about 75-100 more HP over stock and it’s perfect.

Its the motorsport colors at this point. Its like having a yellow corvette now. I wouldn’t mind rolling u to one in a BRZ either.

I not a big fan of the clear, it looks too boring. I really want to swap bumpers, but to the V1-4 bumper instead. Where in NY was that photo taken?

Traded it for a 98 Cherokee that I ended up building (parted out and sold that too a couple years after that). I think it got sold to some kid in NJ, it probably got wrapped around a telephone pole. The day before I traded it, the car was gutted for a 03 WRX swap that never happened.

Mine was in a front end accident early on in it’s life, and got swapped to a JDM bumper beam with the newer bumper, JDM knuckles, and JDM control arms. I do like the V1-4 bumper a lot too. Taken at KPPC, Kings Park on Long Island.

Eh, at the time KBB was about $4500 for each, my subie looks a LOT better than it actually was.. 190k, dents on every panel including the roof.. the XJ was clean clean and had 85k.

I have a BRZ now, sold the Impreza to cover the cost of payments for it. Figured having a newer car would be more reliable than one built from two separate cars, the engine being from another country.

Normally I wouldn’t respect someone for selling a 2.5RS. But at least you kept the Subaru coupe line going by buying a BRZ (My dream car)

But I miss the RS from time to time, never really miss that XJ. I miss my first one.

I intend to buy another Impreza coupe in the future. I miss my old one, but this time around I want to get a real STi from Japan. Only six more years until I can get a 98 with an EJ20G.
