Man, that scares the hell out of me. I’m hoping it’s not too terrible, but that isn’t a good sign.
My sister lives in the Miami area and had considered leaving for Tampa before the storm changed track but ended up staying put and is hunkered down. She’s got no power right now, but it’s nowhere near as bad as the gulf coast has it, obviously.

Yea I think 75% of Dade doesn’t have power right now but it seems like they got away relatively unscathed compared to what we thought might come through. Downtown Miami looks like a mess though, I know in some spots there was a couple feet of flooding and at least one crane came down like they said would.
I’m in Alaska at the moment but live in Broward, which I guess has less potential for storm surge because of how quickly the sea floor drops off compared to further south or the west coast. It’s not gonna be pretty in the Keys.
