If all the major auto parts stores (Autozone, O’Reilly, Napa, Advance, etc.) started building their own cars, what would they be like?
Picture unrelated

The generic is every bit as good as the name brand, we promise. Only difference is price!

AutoZone’s cars would have a limited “lifetime” guarantee, which would be good until the next time they updated their computer systems. And if you saved your paperwork, it would fade before you had the chance to cash in.

Autozone’s would look like a knock off CTR, but only make 90hp and be unreliable af.
O’reilly’s would look like a Chevy Cavalier sedan. And have the same performance and reliability of one.
NAPA’ s would basically be a reproduction 90s Impala.
Idk about Advance.

Customer: “I’d just like the cheapest one you have”
Me: *sigh* “We have a Microgard filter”

When you turn on your computer, and you go to Google Images, what in the name of fuck are you putting in?

For starters, they’d all have useless chrome fender vents.

Kinetic Grand Championship
I am one of the engineering judges. Those buggies have to make two water crossings, travel on the road and miles of beach, including a very steep downhill dune. Three days and two nights and you have to sleep with your sculpture one of the nights.

Ah, the Kinetic Challenge. One year in College a group of us were asked to build something for the local Elementary school’s team. We cut and welded four bikes together and added two inflatable boats for buoyancy. We actually drove that thing around campus a couple of times. Other than the ass pains, it was fun.

KGC = Ass Pains and sand in diverse places, none of them comfortable.

It would look like The Homer, except made entirely from Chinese, Mexican, and Brazilian parts.

What, nobody?
I’d have shopped these onto a Land Wind but it’s bedtime.

Easy. They’d build a Dodge Dart.

It looks like a JC Whitney catalog exploded.
Also: This would be the JC Whitney car.

Every single one of them would be missing an essential piece of the engine, but don’t worry it will be arriving from the warehouse in two hours. They already sent a driver out. It was supposed to have been there first thing this morning, but someone had put the wrong part in the correct number box.
