The sunrise made me realize that’s the only ethical and logical thing to do, in today’s world, is to swap a Volvo 5-Cylinder engine into my MR2. That follows, right?

I like that idea. Also try and go for an rb25

Go full blasphemy - get a honda inline 5 (the G engine) and tune it to be a high revving NA motor.

I think you should swap in a Wankel, what could possibly go wrong? It would definitely fit in there!
Anyways, I installed the mounts for my 6 point harness today.

Why not an AMG V8?
I’m about to eat or post a video of my car. Maybe both.

Can an RB25 be had in a transverse-mounted setup? If I can get an engine + matching transverse gearbox, that’d make the swapping much easier...

I actually saw an Acura 2.5TL the other day, never realized those were 5-cylinder engines though! Wonder if it’d be possible to give it VTEC, yo...

Unfortunately, anything with a Vee-angle of more than 60 degrees would cut into trunk space, thus needing much more fabrication work. The 6.2 from the C63 would be my first choice, though. I could do the 2.0T from the GLA/CLA 45 but I’d have to find a separate gearbox since I want manual.
Definitely go for both. Car videos and eating are two Very Good Things.

That would be amazing. There’s a massive aftermarket for those engines, and the turbos can make pretty shocking amounts of power.
