But some of us don’t wear helmets at all, but rather, bandanas wrapped around our noggins because Murica.

Wasn’t that bad actually, helmet is still ok - no cracking on the inside, minor scrape on the chin piece below the visor. Shoulder is bruised but after a few zipties and some RTV gasket maker, I was back in business two sessions later.

I wear an open-face helmet. But I race a car, with airbags. I don’t do bikes, but props to you guys who do it with proper gear. A good friend of mine got in a accident last week on his bike. Only a broken collarbone, but he gears-up every time.

If thoughts and prayers are good enough to protect hurricane victims (or any disaster victim), they’re good enough to protect my head in a crash.

Thank you for wearing a helmet and showing why it’s a good idea.

You used zipties and RTV gasket on your shoulder? I’ve heard of using crazy glue to glue cuts, but this is a new one to me. :P

Ha. Zip ties the right handgaurd back on. Used the RTV to plug a small hole in the line between the brake reservoir and the master cylinder

It’s a supermoto and not the first time it’s been down so not bad at all. Just have to weld the handguard mount back together.

I have a very similar helmet I keep as a reminder and to show non helmet wearers why I wear one.
