Had to get a little deep gash from a previous garage’s screw-up fixed on my hatch yesterday. Had to pick the car up today from the body shop and they did a great job on sorting it out. As a plus, my whole car was washed very well too! :D
Metallic paint ftw!
BONUS - a 1983 Chevrolet Cavalier convertible I saw on the way home! They only made 1000 of these. Also, it’s a 1983 Chevy Cavalier convertible....how does it still exist.....better yet, why would anybody still have it? 0_o Thing was mint though, and had one of those incredibly gaudy 50's style spare tire casings on the rear bumper. I didn’t recognize it as I had never seen the early first-gen Cavaliers without the dual sealed-beam headlights on either side!

Nice spot with the Cavalier. The single light convertible is indeed a one year unicorn, as they went to quad lights for 84. A continental kit on one sounds painfully inappropriate.
When I was a little kid, a friend’s mom had an 82-83 Cavalier “Type 10" fastback/hatchback, another seldom-seen car. I remember the sunroof impressed me.

Yup, I’ve not seen a Cav this old before, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fastback!

I can’t recall the last time I saw a single light car, either.
Here’s an brochure pic of the fastback, I still remember the “Type 10" badge clearly:
And one in recent times:

Looks like mine did before today...paved driveway, but our house is in a dirt road :P

Thanks friend! I basically bought them when I got the car as I needed a second set of rims for my summer tires - they were for sale cheap used on Kijiji locally. They’re actually ‘98 US-spec Ford Escort rims! :P
In quite rough shape actually, when I got them...lots of curb rash, scratches, dirty. They aren’t TOO had when cleaned up, but I want to at least paint them sometime! They roll straight and hold air fine though! Might paint them next year!
