It has 493 Horsepower, 516 pounds of torque, A price of about $10,000 because of depreciation and beautiful german engineering/comfort. I have unbridled love for it.

So tell me, why doesn’t everyone have one?

I think because the 20k in repairs on the horizon are prohibitive. My Merc mechanic said he had one in the shop with a 10k bill.

Well cars today are not meant to last, the amount of electronic devices and highly sensitive parts is pretty amazing. Cars are designed to be recycled now, my 240z is east to fix, my w123 merc has a few parts that are tweaky, mostly vacuum. I think it was BMW that bragged it had kore computers than the space shuttle in the cars, not good for ten years down the road! It’s just not realistic to look at an AMG from that time and think it will be manageable on a reasonable budget.
