You need to level the roofline as well.
Tell her it was already hideous.

cut the plastic off and fill those fenders with TE37's and offroad tires

“It’s hideous” - my girlfriend
Yes, but what did she think of it
after
you leveled it?

The rear has no visual weight now, it just looks vestigial

Kinja must have ate the original.

The whole car is vestigal.

We’re on a computer, gate logic applies, i.e., both.

It was always hideous.

I can relate.
Anything made after 1980 and before 2012 is old junk and flip up headlights are ugly.
Or so I’ve been told.
Admittedly, I am very much past pop=ups after having them for so long.

I’ve always been of the opinions that FWD vehicles should let have rear visual weight, I think they should be focused around the design of the front wheels.

I actually kind of like it. Like a mini-Infiniti-FX

Wouldn’t it look like a Kia Soul, but with a rounded nose?

I don’t know, the Soul is far more boxy everywhere, has some rake to the roof, has a rising beltline to the rear, etc. It might look like a chopped Soul with a flatter roof and extremely raked rear glass.
I actually think the second gen Soul is one of the best-designed small CUVs around, having incorporated all of the modern stylistic cues and safety changes quite tastefully. It does suffer from modern front/rear lower bumper style and the wheels look oddly-small in pictures for some reason, but it is otherwise quite nice.
The Juke is hideous from every angle. It also suffers from the small wheel problem, but then adds wheel surround cladding to accentuate and draw attention to the fact. I don’t think it’s the ugliest (there is a ton of ugly being made these days), but it is definitely vying for the title in the class.

So fwd cars should look like dogs with atrophied back legs is what you’re saying?

Yeah
