12K is SERIOUSLY low for that car.
If you were looking for a 25-30k car this would be great with all the extra repair cash on hand.

i bet it has to do with whether or not the timing chain has been done. If its at the service time then i’d want some incentive to have to deal with that.

It’s just the guides that get chewed up correct? Low interval oil changes would help that. I thought these are pretty stout. I’m more worried about the trans on my S8, but I also do 5k interval oil changes to keep the guides healthy. 55k service is coming up, plugs and a carbon cleaning are in order. We shall see how it goes.

I was pretty good with oil changes on my Sport Trac and it still ate the guide rails. I hope you have better luck

Yeah me too. Only reason I piled the trigger on one of these is that I have easy access to a shop with a hoist, so I figured worse case, I can drop the engine and trans for major surgery.
