No interior photos, ugh.

Also: “don’t need to sell car, just testing waters” is the nonchalant way of saying, “no lowballers I know what I have.”

So they purchased this, painted it, and want to flip it for the purchase and paint price? Nah.   An imported inspected GT-R is only $6k or so more.

It’s pretty nice, but not $19k nice.

Moreover, we’re only about a year away from the first R33s becoming importable. I’d be surprised if non-GT-R R32s don’t drop in price when that happens.

One can hope.

Crackpipe. You can get a super clean, freshly imported GTS-4 for $13k-14k from a top-tier licensed importer. And Bayside Blue wasn’t a factory color for the R32. I personally don’t want a car someone has had randomly repainted. The ad seems even sketchier due to no interior photos.

Oddly enough here in Canuckistan we have had the R33 importable for like 9 years and I have seen maybe one for every ten R32.

And it seems pretty nuts to pay 19k for a vehicle from 1990. Granted it only has 56k miles, but still, you have to be quite the enthusiast.

CP. 19K is way too much for a GTS4. You can get those from an importer for $15K or less. Sure, that one has pretty low miles, but we’re talking about a GTS4 here, people.

I imagine the GTS-25T’s will cost what we’re seeing for the average GTS4, so I think R32's will drop accordingly. Wouldn’t mind picking up a GTS-25T honestly.

Same. The RB25 seems like a better base than the RB20.

The rb20 is fine, but you’re right about the rb25 being a better base.

Never hurts to have 25% more displacement and 25% more power right out of the gate!

You’ll end up doing the same things to each motor if you build it up. They both have a junk intake manifold and a small turbo... but you’ll always have the displacement advantage in the rb25.

Also, the rb25 gets most of it’s displacement bump from a bigger bore, so I imagine the rb25 has a better flowing head with similar rev capability (stroke is only marginally longer).

This thread has a little more info on the stock turbo’s for each engine: http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/21-tuning-technical-questions/27570-what-std-turbo-rb20det.html

They both have a ceramic wheel on the exhaust side that likes to kill itself on high boost unfortunately. But I don’t think said “high boost” is within the efficiency range of either turbo any way.

I’m excited to see R33's stateside. Will certainly confuse plenty of people who mistake them for S14's and Accords.

Oh, nice. My TSX will be paid off by 2021 at the latest, so I’ll have lots of options on what to buy then, and one of my bucket list goals is to import a car from Japan. The 33, the Integra Type R, and the Prelude Type S will all be legal at that point. A 33 GTS25T would be a nice addition.

I’m also excited to see R33s. 32s are relatively common in Richmond thanks to Japanese Classics, and supposedly one of the Motorex R34s resides in the area. But I don’t know of any 33s.
