With the death of the Evo we went car shopping today. Checked out Carmax so we could see a bunch of cars at once. My wife wants a 6 seater for kid duty. It pains me greatly. SUVs and Minivans. We did check out the Ford Tranist Connect though and she didn’t hate it. Kind of funky and interesting. Carmax was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. We then went to a couple of local dealership and they were polite, but slow! Like painfully slow.
Sadly, I wasn’t able to convince her that a Porsche was the way to go. She is still unaware of the 1990 Mini that is slowly making its way here from Japan. That will restore balance to the Force. She also mentioned that I could sell our 2005 Mini and get an STi, but I deferred that as two car payments is not a situation that I want to be in right now.

Would an Ecoboost Flex be an option worth considering?
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

Yes, yes it would. Or a Durango R/T 2013 or newer for the 8speed ZF

Maybe a Mercedes R-class?

We’ve pondered that along with a Mercedes wagon.

She checked out the Flex and wasn’t impressed.

I encourage you to look at a CX-9. I was in moderately loaded one recently and it was nice inside and had some get up to it.

Honda of Alabama brought out a track prepped Odyssey to Gridlife... Just throwing that out there. It was quick too.

If you are willing to forgo 6 seats, a BMW X3 35i might be worth a look. Impressive little car, pretty fast too.

Volvo wagon? I saw one at carmax once and was impressed.
Otherwise, cx9. I’d say Sedona, but I get this vibe you’d rather pull your fingernails out with pliers than get a van.

She is firm on 6 seats. Trust me, I tried.

Truth, but I can be reasonable. The content of extras in the Kias is impressive. Both the van and SUV are pretty nice.

Have you considered a Mazda 5? When I drove one, it was essentially a Mazda 3 with a more utilitarian body. And, they seat 6 people.

I need to write a review of our Sedona. It’s been almost two years now, and we’re really happy with it. It’s the ultimate family road trip car. And it can haul so much stuff.

Good to hear. The Kias are good value, for sure.

Cx9 or mkt/flex ecoboost are my best suggestions.
