No time for wax or any fine details but a good scrub does wonders. Also I managed to pull a window regulator from the only applicable car at the junk yard. Thankfully for convertibles tops are manageable so I was able to get it out of the way in order to access the rear window and regulator.

Those Preludes though (that 4th gen looks like it’s seen some stuff!)

Oh yeah dude that 4th gen guy has a green Miata as well...funny how we both thought of a Prelude Miata combo. This Prelude seems like it barely moves and yeah it is in really rough shape. Love my 5th gen! 3rd gen wouldve been so nice too. I was looking around and could’ve had one for around 2k but still a 2nd 1990 car with no aftermarket support unlike my Miata would be suicide.

Just finished applying the wax, buffing it soon.

Much photography will ensue once it’s all shiny...

I still haven’t cleaned it from a month ago... I should do that tomorrow.

I think 4th gens have gotten to the point where if you want a good one you should just bite the bullet and import one from Japan. Mine is still holding on but I haven’t driven it much since I brought the TSX home...I transferred its registration. I haven’t even uncovered the 3rd gen in months. You definitely don’t want one. It’s an absolute nightmare to try and fix one that’s broken like mine is. (Please remind me to not put this line into the Craigslist ad when I sell it!)

Do you know if 2nd gen MR2s do that too? Mine has the same kind of sunroof, just never thought to check if it’s removable.

How do you like the foaming? The results are impressive. Which brand model did you go with?

There should be a diagram on your passenger sun visor. You just squeeze the shiny part of the hinge to get it out. It’s surprisingly simple.

I tried to upload the pic, but Kinja...

Foaming is great for softening the dirt on the car, making it easier and safer to clean. It’s a much needed part of the wash process.

I used to use Gtechniq W4 Citrus Foam followed by Gtechniq Gwash car shampoo also via foam lance and 2BM, or UV wash in the summer for summer washes and it’s anti static properties.

Since using Gyeon Wetcoat as a rapid sealant and Gyeon Cure as a drying aid/sealant/quick detailer.

So I’ve started using Gyeon Foam as a snow foam but still using Gtechniq Gwash as a shampoo.

I’ll try it out later today and let you know how it goes, certainly looks fun! By the way, the red/black is a good combo for a 1st gen MR2.
