My thoughts exactly. The new cars sound almost like Norelco razors. And the brutality of the 80s cars, the hand shifting, the scream of the V-12s. I watch F1, but it’s gotten a lot less interesting. I think what hooked me 20 years ago was not the drivers or the championships but the cars and the unbridled technology and the sheer power.
