We’re in our second day of wind and rain in Austin, but rain for us is only a bit over 6". Other places have gotten 30" or more. Last night, we experienced a bizarre light and power show. The sky lit up with a bright green/orange flash followed by a loud, eerie hum that sounded like a Kaiju. I’m guessing that a tree had fallen on a power line or transformer. It lasted for about an hour, with the power flashing off and then back on again every 5-10 minutes.
Lots more rain and wind here today, but we are still on the outer edges of the rain. For now.

The noise was just so eerie, though. You can hear it if you crank up the sound.

Thanks. I ordered pizza from the Pizza Hut down the street, and they called me back to say they were canceling the order because of an emergency and closing the store. No idea. Could be power, leaking, anything. Our flood warnings are posted through Wednesday. Lots more rain coming.
