Carbon fiber, 22 forward gears, hydraulic disc brakes, very fancy.

A heady mix of Swiss, Japanese and Taiwanese engineering with a touch of Made in China. Now that’s what I call a hybrid!

I’ve always been weirded out by disc brakes on road bikes. Much less hydraulic ones

I would prefer rim brakes too. But all the new bikes have discs.

Very nice! What’s the component group on that?

Shimano Ultegra 11 speed. Not Di2.

Ultegra 11 with a compact crankset is heaven. There’s no need for anything more expensive.

I am so glad to be back in shimano. I love the way shimano shifts.

It’s my fav. I’m really fond of their hydro disc brakes and appreciate that they use mineral oil which isn’t toxic to my fluffball cat.

roughly how much is something like that worth?

You are tall. BMC makes sharp bikes, enjoy!

Without the exact model name it’s hard to tell. Generally the MSRP for a bike with mechanical Ultegra is in the $2500-$3500 range, but I’ve seen them north of $4500 if it’s the fancier carbon fiber layup or it comes with upgraded wheels.

It’s a 2016 model and I paid less than half retail so I was out the door for 2k. Msrp was $4300.
